San Ramon Regional Medical Center Spotlights Volunteers during Volunteer Month
Apr 19, 2023April is National Volunteer Month and April 16-22, 2023, is National Volunteer Week. This is a special time for us to pay tribute to our amazing team of volunteers who devote their time, energy and talent to serving our patients and our community. It is a unique opportunity for us to honor and acknowledge our volunteers for their extraordinary service. They give selflessly to others – they understand the value and importance of a friendly smile and the comfort of kind words in the healing process.
Established by President Richard Nixon in 1974, National Volunteer Week is about encouraging others to seek out imaginative ways to engage in their communities. Every April, charities, hospitals and communities recognize volunteers and foster a culture of service. Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community and help those in need, while also gaining valuable skills that can be used later in life. The generous support of our volunteers allows our hospital to deliver an added level of service to patients and visitors.
On behalf of all of our employees, medical staff and governing board at San Ramon Regional Medical Center, we extend our sincerest gratitude to our volunteers. Thank you for your incredible contributions to our hospital and community.
