San Ramon Regional Medical Center Participates in Open World Program
Dec 12, 2022In November 2022, San Ramon Regional Medical Center was chosen as a location for the Open World Program. Open World, operated by Rotary International, brings emerging leaders from Eurasia to the United States to engage with professional counterparts. The program was established in 1999 to foster cultural and political ties with Russia, but has since expanded to other countries of the post-Soviet region. Since its inception, the program has brought over 30,000 delegates to 2,400 communities throughout all 50 states.
For this year’s program, six delegates from Ukraine visited the Bay Area on Nov. 4-12, 2022. They received orientation in Washington, D.C. before traveling to Concord. The delegates stayed with Concord Rotary families and participated in meetings, interviews, presentations and panel discussions with healthcare leaders throughout the Bay Area.
The delegates, who are hospital administrators and physicians, visited San Ramon Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022. We hosted a presentation about our hospital and the services we provide, followed by a panel discussion and hospital tour. Congressman Eric Swalwell was also in attendance.
