San Ramon Regional Medical Center Nurses Awarded in Honor of Nurses Week
May 14, 2020San Ramon, Calif. – May 14, 2020 – San Ramon Regional Medical Center is proud to announce that Jodi Weyandt, RN, has received the Florence Nightingale Award.
Weyandt is a registered nurse in the hospital’s Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). She is well respected by her peers, her patients, physicians and staff from all areas of the hospital. Her colleagues say she is caring, empathetic and skilled in her work. She is committed to providing quality patient care every day.
“Jodi is truly dedicated to her patients’ care and wellbeing. She shows compassion and kindness to all her patients,” one co-worker said. “Jodi is a team player and is well respected by her colleagues. She is one of a kind and a pleasure to work with.”
San Ramon Regional Medical Center honors the Florence Nightingale Award winner each year during Nurses Week (May 6-12). The recipient is nominated by their peers and selected by nursing administration.
Also in honor of Nurses Week, the hospital awarded the first-ever Nursing Excellence Award to Crissy Dunn, RN, Family Birthing Center, and Catrina Bechtold, RN, Emergency Department.
“Crissy is a confident, compassionate nurse and an excellent leader. She has taught me so much and completely exemplifies every part of a nurse I hope to be,” said one colleague.
“Catrina is a role model for future nurses. Her positivity shines like a ray of sunshine. She is a beautiful reminder for me every day of the powerful impact of nursing care and the effects of human kindness,” another colleague added.
Dunn and Bechtold have been friends since high school and both grew up wanting to be nurses, making this award even sweeter. They’ve remained close during their nursing careers and even talk every day on their way home from work.
