San Ramon Regional Medical Center Nurse Receives Florence Nightingale Award
Oct 1, 2019San Ramon, Calif. – San Ramon Regional Medical Center is proud to announce that Terri Besag, RN, has received the Florence Nightingale Award.
“I have been fortunate to work alongside Terri for the past 20 years and can say that each and every day has been a privilege,” said Satveer Dhaliwal, RN, Director of Medical and Surgical Services at San Ramon. “Watching her lay the foundation and grow at SRRMC has been heartwarming. Terri has made San Ramon her home away from home.”
Accomplishments are not always created from one single act, but rather from repeated day-to-day interactions where there is an opportunity to impact someone’s life in a positive way. Whether it is a patient, family member or co-worker, Besag always finds a way to deliver nursing care that is both impressive and unforgettable.
“Terri is warmhearted, caring and dedicated to the nursing profession. She holds herself to a high standard and always strives to look at ways to improve patient care,” Dhaliwal expressed.
Besag recognizes that care and compassion are not qualities that can be taught in nursing school, but truly come from within. Her attitude and love for nursing are inspiring to those around her and is often recognized and commended. Besag thrives on the positive, meaningful connections she makes with others.
San Ramon Regional Medical Center honors the Florence Nightingale Award winner each year during Nurses Week, which was celebrated this year on May 6-12, 2018. The recipient is selected by nursing administration.
