The Chief Executive Officer at San Ramon Regional Medical Center, Ann Lucena, has been named Business Person of the Year by the San Ramon Chamber of Commerce.

Lucena was recognized at the chamber’s annual Night of the Stars awards ceremony on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019. The Business and Community Awards recognize the business leaders and community members who strive to make San Ramon one of the most desirable places to live in California.

Lucena became CEO of San Ramon Regional Medical Center in April 2018. She came to the hospital from Dallas where she served as the Senior Director of Hospital Operations and Chief of Staff to Tenet’s President of Hospital Operations. However, she’s no stranger to San Ramon Regional having served as Associate Administrator at the hospital for three years prior to her role in Dallas.

Lucena earned a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

The Night of the Stars awards ceremony was held at The Bridges Golf Club in San Ramon. The chamber handed out six awards: Business Person of the Year, Citizen of the Year, Employee of the Year, Educator of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Ambassador of the Year.
