Wound Care Center at SRRMC Receives Award of Excellence
Oct 1, 2019The Advanced Wound Care Center at San Ramon Regional Medical Center has received the Robert A. Warriner III Center of Excellence Award.
To earn this award, the center has maintained excellent patient satisfaction and healing rates by providing outstanding care and utilizing advanced wound care modalities including: negative pressure wound therapy, debridement, application of cellular-based tissue or skin substitutes to the wound, offloading or total contact casts and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
The award is named for Dr. Robert A. Warriner III, a pioneer in wound care.
The Advanced Wound Care Center at SRRMC offers highly specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds which have not healed in a reasonable amount of time.
The center features a healing tree on the wall, which reinforces the team’s mission of providing exceptional wound care to patients. Once treatment is complete, each patient earns a leaf to sign and date, signifying the end of their successful treatment. The team then conducts a bell-ringing ceremony.
