San Ramon Regional Medical Center Names Employee of the Year
Feb 16, 2022San Ramon, Calif. – Feb. 16, 2022 – San Ramon Regional Medical Center is proud to announce that Shelly Su has been named Employee of the Year for 2021. Shelly is an environmental services associate in our housekeeping department.
“Shelly has served on our environmental services team for many years. She prides herself on providing a clean and safe environment for our patients receiving care, and she always does it with a smile and positive attitude,” said Ann Lucena, CEO of San Ramon Regional Medical Center. “Shelly always goes the extra mile, not only with her own responsibilities, but also by offering her assistance to her colleagues. She is an excellent team player and we are grateful she’s on our team.”
Shelly is described by her colleagues as someone with a very strong work ethic and who takes great pride in her job performance. She always has a smile on her face and stays upbeat. Shelly pays close attention to detail and is always willing to stop what she’s doing to help others.
“Shelly is a team player who helps her co-workers when she has finished her assignments and her co-workers seek her assistance. Shelly is well liked by her peers and people from other departments she interacts with,” said Caryn Thornburg, Director of Plant Operations at San Ramon Regional Medical Center. “I appreciate her continued reliability, honesty, work ethic and positive attitude in all she does to support our department and ensure the cleanest environment is provided for our patients and staff.”
“Everyone can tell that Shelly takes a great deal of pride in what she does, and goes above and beyond to ensure her customers feel well taken care of. Short-cuts are never taken and it’s clear that she has a very strong work ethic,” said Sam Crandall, Patient Safety Officer at San Ramon Regional Medical Center. “Shelly exemplifies and role models establishing and maintaining positive relationships with those around her. Environmental service workers have a very challenging job, and Shelly rises to the occasion.”
San Ramon Regional Medical Center recognizes Pillars of Excellence every month throughout the year. The Employee of the Year is then chosen from that group of Pillars. Shelly was the August Pillars of Excellence Winner.
