San Ramon, Calif. – San Ramon Regional Medical Center recently hosted U.S. Representative Eric Swalwell for a tour of the hospital on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019.

Rep. Eric Swalwell meeting SRRMC employeeAnn Lucena, CEO of SRRMC, guided Swalwell on the tour which included the recently-built hybrid operating suite for cardiac and vascular procedures and the hospital’s award-winning Family Birthing Center. Swalwell also received an up-close look at the hospital’s newest piece of technology, the da Vinci Xi Surgical System. The da Vinci Xi was designed with the goal of further advancing the technology used in minimally invasive surgery. The system can be used across a wide spectrum of surgical procedures. Patient benefits include reduced trauma to the body, less blood loss, fewer scars, faster recovery and better outcomes.

“We were delighted to have Congressman Swalwell visit our hospital. We were proud to have the opportunity to show him how we are embracing innovation to improve patient care for the residents of the Tri-Valley area,” Lucena said.
