San Ramon Regional Medical Center Honors Physicians on National Doctors’ Day

Mar 30, 2022

San Ramon Regional Medical Center celebrated National Doctors’ Day by paying tribute to its physicians for their service, skill and compassion.

At San Ramon Regional Medical Center, the theme of “Thank You for Always Being There” depicts a collective sentiment of deep appreciation for the outstanding group of physicians who tirelessly care for our community.

“On behalf of our hospital and our patients, I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to our physicians, who are champions of healthcare in the Tri-Valley Area,” said Ann Lucena, CEO of San Ramon Regional Medical Center. “I believe in the value of saying thank you every day, and on Doctors’ Day each year, we want to amplify our message of gratitude to honor the incredible impact our physicians have on the health of our community.”

San Ramon Regional Medical Center recognizes its physicians for being the pillars of the high quality, distinctive services provided to the community.

Celebrated on March 30th each year, Doctors’ Day was officially established in 1991. March 30th also marks the anniversary of the first use of general anesthesia in surgery by Dr. Crawford W. Long in 1842. National Doctors’ Day is commonly celebrated in healthcare organizations, as a day to recognize the contributions of doctors to individual lives and communities.
